Dr. Lucia Yau is a graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.  She ranked among the top percentile of her class and earned Tufts Merit Scholarship four years in a row.  Upon graduation in 1999, she received the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award and Northeastern Society of Periodonitsts Award, highlighting her exceptional skills in general dentistry and gum treatment.  

Dr. Yau continues to update her skills by attending continuing education courses beyond the minimum state requirement.  She is a lifetime member in the USDI program for orthodontics.  Last year, Dr. Yau completed a CDA sponsored training program that focused on children's dental health and she is currently board certified in providing Oral Conscious Sedation for Minors.   

Dr. Yau holds dental licenses in California and Massachusetts.  She is an active member of the Orange County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.  In addition, she works closely with OCDS, in an effort to provide dental care to children in need.

Through out the year, you will find Dr. Yau at numerous dental screening events held at senior centers and community centers in the cities of Anaheim, Cerritos, Fullerton and Santa Ana.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and running.  She is proud to have finished her first Huntington Beach Surf City half-marathon on February 3rd, 2007 in pouring rain!
