Dr. Lucia Yau

Dr. Lucia Yau is an experienced dentist with her office conveniently located in the Anaheim and nearby Fullerton areas.
Dr. Lucia Yau is a graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She ranked among the top percentile of her class and earned Tufts Merit Scholarship four years in a row. Upon graduation in 1999, she received the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award and Northeastern Society of Periodontists Award, highlighting her exceptional skills in general dentistry and gum treatment. Dr. Yau continues to update her skills by attending continuing education courses beyond the minimum state requirement.
For instance, Dr. Yau is a lifetime member in the USDI program for orthodontics. In addition, she completed a CDA sponsored training program in 2007 that focused on children's dental health and is currently serving children (as young as age one) and adults in her office.
Dr. Yau holds dental licenses in California and Massachusetts. She was Secretary for Orange County Dental Society Dental Health Foundation; a non-profit corporation which aims to improve dental care access for those in need, particularly children. She is an active member of the Orange County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Throughout the year, you will find Dr. Yau at numerous dental screening events held at senior centers and community centers in the cities of Anaheim, Cerritos, Fullerton and Santa Ana. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and running.
Dr. Yau finished her first Huntington Beach Surf City half-marathon on February 3rd, 2008 in pouring rain; continuing the legacy, she finished her second and third half-marathon in 2009 and then in 2010. She considers her pumpkin pie award on Thanksgiving day at the 10K "Turkey Trot" finish line a "proud moment". In more recent years, Dr. Yau takes on a new role as mother to her two children.
